Our mission for the Gallery is to support the success of local, regional and national clay artists through the presentation, marketing and sales of their work.
We have been having a different artist featured each month. Lisa Pedolsky lead the parade with a show in May which was successful in that her work was introduced to many people who had never seen her yunomi, Chawan bowls, tea pots and vessels. We will be representing her work on an ongoing basis if you wish to visit the Gallery and find out more about her as an artist.

MAY
May 3rd. Tea tasting celebrating the Durango Wine Experience. You don’t have to be a teatoatler to celebrate World Tea. Just like wine tea has terroir and and an elaborate language to describe tea taste and nose. This tasting will take place Thursday afternoon 2:30 to 3:30 in the Tearoom. We will explore a representative from each tea type e.g. white, yellow,green, oolong,black and pu-erh. $25 a person. Call 970-385-7300 for reservation and per-pay. Michael Thunder, host.
May 11, Spring Gallery Walk 5-9 pm. Lisa Pedolsky, Durango Clay artist Reception.
May 25, Reception for New Mexico clay artist Betsy Williams and sculptor Mark Saxe. Meet the artists 1-5 in the Tearoom. Betsy’s work in clay is very appealing and extremely well made. She studied in Japan. Mark’s work is witty and refined at the same time. He works in stone and wood. Refreshments will be served.

Celebrating the work of Betsy Williams, renowned New Mexico clay artist.
It is our intention to represent artists who wish to have a permanent presence in the Gallery and be a resource for viewing their work in the community.
